JEE Main 2026 Schedule

Eligibility
  • Age limit: No age limit for appearing in JEE Main.
  • Qualifying exam: Must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 or equivalent.
  • Subject requirements: Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects. Chemistry is required for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech). For Paper 2, Mathematics is mandatory along with other subjects as specified.
  • Previous attempts: Candidates can appear for three consecutive years from the year of passing Class 12. 
Application and Registration
  • Registration for Session 1: Started on October 31, 2025, and the deadline is November 23, 2025.
  • Application form: Candidates must fill out the application form accurately, as corrections have limitations.
  • Corrections: A correction window will be provided, but not all details can be changed.
  • Updated documents: Ensure your Aadhaar Card, UDID Card (for persons with disabilities), and category certificates are updated and valid before applying. 
Exam Details
  • Exam frequency: JEE Main is conducted twice a year, in January and April.
  • Exam dates (Session 1): January 21-30, 2026.
  • Exam dates (Session 2): April 1-10, 2026.
  • Total marks: Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech): 300 marks; Paper 2A (B.Arch) and 2B (B.Plan): 400 marks each. 
Other important points
  • New exam centers: 33 new exam centers have been added, and seven have been removed for JEE Main 2026.
  • Admission criteria: To be eligible for admission in NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, candidates need to score at least 75% in their Class 12 exams.
